PROFLEX™ membranes help prevent moisture vapor drive (that is, moisture from below) from transmitting through to the finished floor. The waterproofing feature helps prevent water intrusion (that is, water from above) from penetrating to the substrate below. Waterproofing membranes are part of the entire waterproofing system and building envelope protection.

Waterproofing is a topic about which most people are misinformed.
Moisture and Water intrusion can penetrate a building from below and above the flooring substrate. PROFLEX has designed products that can be used to aid in the prevention of moisture vapor transmission from below a substrate, and waterproofing protection from sources above the substrate.

Waterproofing a structure involves a complete system of products that provides multiple layyers of redundancy against moisture vapor and and water intrusion, and no single product will provide an "all encompassing" level of protection. The consequences of improper waterproofing can have disastrous results and lead to expensive repair down road. Don't let this critical aspect of construction cost you. Consult with a PROFLEX representative about your waterproofing and moisture control needs today. 877-5PROFLEX.
