Sound Control Underlayments
Proflex offers a variety of flooring underlayments that were designed and tested to greatly reduce noise between occupied living spaces in multi-unit structures. Building Associations, Building Departments, and Architectural Specifiers are requiring minimum sound and impact transmission rating for floors. Along with their sound dampening properties, Proflex underlayments have an added value. Proflex underlayments also isolate the substrate from the finish flooring thus eliminating the telescopic transfer of cracks through the wear layer. This insures the long lasting beauty of your floors.
All Proflex RCU, LV, and RU series underlayments and adhesives have Green/LEED certifications ratings that help when qualifying for project requirements.
